Cry Baby: What is the NBA coming to?

Since when did it become acceptable to behave like a little child when you are traded, or in Allen Iverson’s case, sign with a team you don’t like? I mean come on now, get over it! Last week Allen Iverson took a leave of absence when he was asked to come off the bench for the talent ridden Memphis Grizzlies, which prompted them to wave him.
Players like Iverson, who is well into his 30’s, doesn’t have the fire power he once had when he played for for the Philadelphia 76ers. It was very painful to watch him in Detroit, knowing his skills had diminished and his chances of winning a title was slipping away. When he signed with Memphis, I couldn’t understand why. The Grizzlies? He could have went to another team who at least has a chance of making the playoffs.
Now that Memphis has waved him, he’s thinking about retirement. What ever happened to being a team player no matter what the case is? Memphis could have used his services to groom younger talented players, but Iverson just walked away.
Another thing, Iverson could have went to another team for less money, but he choose the cash over the chance of winning a ring. Iverson should just retire. He’s one of the NBA’s greatest players of this generation and he has legions of fans. Unless Iverson signs with a contender, I think he should hang up his jersey.
