Wilt famously wrote in his autobiography “A View from Above” that he slept with more than 20,000 women. Wilt was very serious about it too, claiming to have had sex with 1.2 women everyday since he was 16. Now that’s an unbelievable stat. However, it can happen. Wilt kept the names of the women he slept with, and even gave them numbers, as if they were standing in line at the DMV.

If Wilt wasn’t lying, the numbers will show that he slept with 500 women or more a year, a staggering number. Just like his records in basketball, this one is very hard to believe. If you grew up in the time period after Wilt retired, it is hard to believe that someone scored 100 points in one game. And it is very hard to fathom that he averaged 50 points a game and twenty rebounds a game in the same season.

So 20,000 women. Really? I wish I could have talked to Wilt and asked him his secret.

Wilt would have had to have sex with a new women every 17 hours from the age 15 to 55. Wilt may have been the only man in history to have slept with that many women. I’ve heard of guys saying they’ve slept with a hundred women, but 20,000? That’s mind boggling.

How is it possible to sleep with that many women and still have enough time to train, play basketball, give television interviews, spend time with friends and family, and travel. And have we ever heard of Wilt having kids? He should have at least 10 children from the 20,000 women he’s slept with.

I’m really trying to figure this out. Let’s say that he got sick and caught the flu. He’d be out of commission for at least a few days. The flu will have you in bed for at least a week and it is difficult to have sex when you have the chills, fever, and muscle aches.

Wilt’s claim of having over 20,000 different sexual encounters may be a lie. However, many ballers who played in the NBA with Wilt believe his story. Former teammate Billy Cunningham said, “Wilt had them lined up around the block. All kinds of women. His charm made them putty in his hands. He’d sing them songs as he was getting down to business. He had a helluva voice. Anything by Little Anthony and the Imperials and you knew he had at least three women going at the same time. Sometimes we’d just walk in and sing with him.”

A former producer of the 1970s classic cartoon Seasame Street, says that during one guest appearance, Wilt had “relationships” with seven extras.

A women by the name of Alice Tinsley of New Jersey claims she slept with Wilt over 1,000 times. The 63 year old woman would say, “I used to wear my hair differently every time. He was calling me Ashley, Allison, Alberta, Annie, Alva, everything but Alice. So who knows, maybe he started losing count after he started tapping my ass.”

NBA great Bill Walton says the actual total doesn’t matter. “Wilt was as prodigious off the court as on. The number was way, way up there. I don’t give a shit what Alice Tinsley says. She was passed around the league more times than a roach clip at a Grateful Dead concert. And I should know.”
