Forgotten Super Bowl MVPS: Dexter Jackson

The Super Bowl, a stage where greatness is expected and the greatest players have proven time-to-time that it’s their hollowed grounds and their the king of the jungle. But every few years or so, they’ll be a player that comes along and their name may not be so popular, but after the big game, everyone in America knows his name.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were entering their first Super Bowl and the opponents, the Oakland Raiders were making their 4th Super Bowl bid. It was an intriguing matchup as Tampa’s head coach John Gruden was once the head coach for Oakland.
Of course there were the stars. Oakland’s quarterback Rich Gannon and wide receiver Tim Brown were Bay Areas finest and Tampa Bay’s Keyshawn Johnson, Warren Sapp and Mike Alstott were fan favorites, but it Tampa Bay’s Dexter Jackson that was the hero of the day.
Dexter Jackson’s superb defense forced Rich Gannon to throw two interceptions, both of which where in the first half. If it wasn’t for Dexter’s stellar play, Gannon would have not been so timid in that second half, which he almost played worst. Jackson was the games MVP but his name is forgotten in Super Bowl lore.
