Things are starting to heat up in sexual assault situation with Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger after his accuser, a Georgia student, recently told investigators that there was no way she could stop Roethlisberger from assaulting her because “I’m a little girl and he’s a big boy”. The accuser told police she’s 5-foot-4 and weighs 145 pounds. Roethlisberger is listed as 6-5, 245 pounds.
On the night the college student was allegedly assaulted by Roethlisberger, video footage showed Ben asking a woman how her drink tasted, gave out a few high fives, stuck a pose for the camera, punches his fist few times, then turned around and flashed a smile for the camera. Later that night, Ben would be accused of sexual assault.
When the accuser was interviewed the first time by local authorities, she sounded intoxicated as her words were slurred and at one point she confessed in saying “I’m obviously drunk”. However during the interview she told police that she told Roethlisberger “I really don’t think this is ok”, but that didn’t stop him from having sex with her.
When asked if she thought she lead him on, she said “I wasn’t forward in any way”. She said “I wasn’t like oh my gosh, have sex with me because your an NFL Superstar”.
The next day she went back to the police station for a follow-up interview and this time she was calm and remembered a little more than the night before. She told police that she didn’t try and stop him because she didn’t want him to “hurt me anymore than he was going to”.
Because of another incident involving a woman who has accused Roethlisberger of sexual assault, the commissioner of the NFL, Roger Goodell suspended him for the first 6 games of the 2010-2011 season, stating that Roethlisberger failed to meet the league’s expectations for his off-the-field behavior.
